ABC...went, saw & conquered!

(The only nice photo I have, taken by the Crazyoleez gals..before the booth was completely set one morning)
Ok...conquered may be an overstatement. But we did go to the ABC Kids Expo at the Las Vegas Hilton Convention Center last week. Joined by my a-sister, Ashley, we traveled to and were exhibitors at the show.

This will be a short recount of the week, but basically I was as nervous as I have ever been. Felt completely like a fish out of water in the beginning and then settled into sales mode very quickly. It's not all that difficult to sell a product that you think is great, but hearing accolades a time or two doesn't hurt.

At this point I would say the show was highly successful for us. We placed many orders and sold hundreds of items during the 4 day show.

Baby Elephant Ears will now be sold all over the U.S.A, Canada, Australia, New Zealand & Japan. All of the retailers who purchased will be receiving the same merchandise I sell on my website...US Made, ethically manufactured product. Noooow....if I can just get it all made in time! We told the retailers to expect a 4-6 week turnaround time, but I can only sew so quickly!

I took no photo's, ate very little but kept my focus the entire week. My children were at home...with my husband! No better place for them to be right? Scott was very much looking forward to some great time with the children and I....well I wasn't looking forward to being gone THAT long! But...the first days were great. Full nights sleep, dinner without interruption and a sense of individuality! After that Ashley and I really stayed focused until the last day in Vegas! I lost it...many, MANY times that day. The show had ended on Wednesday. We took our time to take our booth down and ship it that night, so Thursday was all to ourselves. I awoke that morning from barely an hour or so of sleep and couldn't sit still. I left the room while Ashley rested and basically wandered around Las Vegas! Finally I went back, got Ashley and we went to the pool to de-brief and chat for a few hours. Then it was on our way home. I was so glad to see my family, I almost woke them all up (except Scott said he would hurt me if I did...it was 1:30am).

We met some amazing people who reiterated to me the value of trust. Trusting in people is ok...but sometimes I forget that. And just to point out...you have got to check out this company...Crazyoleez! Not only were these ladies the nicest people we met, but will continue to be friends through both of our success! I purchased some crazyoleez for my children...and they're a hit for sure! Now...if just I had thought of it!

Anyhow...it was a great week. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but trusting God's plan and knowing He can carry me through! Anyone know how to sew...or export?

STAY TUNED!
